WOW, as many time as I've heard of people doing the Love Dare on their significant other, I never heard of doing it on yourself, let alone 'me' doing it on myself. I am excited and scared at the same time.
I bought the book today and only read the introduction. It talks about taking the view of leading your heart instead of following it. What an amazing concept - to lead my heart towards what is best in the long run instead of acting on what it thinks I should pursue because it feels right at the moment. I can't tell you how many time I've done that in my life - hmmm, let me see...almost every decision I've ever made - YIKE!!
I begin my journey tomorrow, July 7, 2011 and will have completed the 40 Dares by August 23, 2011.
As I go through these dares I will be journaling on what the Dare is, the things I am learning about myself and how I react & respond to these discoveries and the shifts I notice in myself.
The introduction closes by reminding me that I have the responsibility to protect and guide my heart, and that learning to truly love is one of the most important things I will ever do.
I choose to accept this Dare.
Heidi,
ReplyDeleteI respect your courage to perform the Love Dare in a public setting. You are the teacher in the moment. I am looking forward to learning from you. You go girl!!!
